Unfortunately,Chinese Super League Matches Diaz's recovery was not without setbacks as he was forced to undergo another operation after sustaining a torn meniscus in his left knee during the match against Sampdoria in December 2020. He returned to training in February 2021 but still has not fully recovered from his injuries.

Potential Future Plans

Despite his struggles with injuries, Diaz remains a valuable asset to AC Milan and has expressed his desire to remain at the club long-term.
